so what do you guys think of them? I just recently got into them and yeah, I'm rocking out in major metal fassion lol. Opinions?
Honestly, the issue I have with them and bands like them is thatthey sort of sound like every other band of their type. That type of heavy metal all sounds the same to me. That said there was the one music video in which they crash a kid's birthday party which was somewhat amusing
Have they broken up? I noticed they released an anthology this year, and that usually means they're ending their career in the near future.
not sure about them breaking up. Despite the fact there lyrics are anti-christian though there album names suggest otherwise, I listen to them along with everything else. Chris Adler was the one who inspired me to do drumming, and to do metal drumming as well. He's awesome!
Considering the band's name prior to it being Lamb of God was Burn the Priest i am not surprised their lyrics are a anti christian. But i do agree chris adler is a sick drummer and one of the best. Though i also agree wit h blind guardian that the Straight up modern metal genre ( or whatever sub category it will be squeezed into this week) is cluttered with a shit load of clones who aren't really doing anything new, and all think they have to scream all the time to be metal or they will be called pussies. No one told Dave Mustaine or James Hetfield they had to scream all the time to be metal. That being said and while i like some of their stuff i must say i really don't think their vocalist is the best growler in the business as he often sounds like he is trying too hard or straining. And no they aren't breaking up Just putting out a retrospective of the last 10 years of their careers or so.
Chris Adler is my hero. I really wish I could have seen them when they were here in California last weekend.
don't feelbad, I won't be able to see them ither, and I waant to! grr! oh well, I'm sure I will at some point. I was playing eleventh hour on drums yesterday, wow! its awesome!
I did get to see them after all! My cousins in Texas took me to the Dallace show Last week. There set just flew by so fast!
